Poem for St Perrans day

An alien landscape
Endless shifting
Fighting against
Wind blowing
People walk into the dunes
Tiny grains moving
Footsteps crossing again
Where once they walked to a little church
Hidden for many years amongst the shifting sands
Celebrating the place where Cornwall’s patron saint was said to land.
Blue sky with speeded up  clouds crossing
The landscape moving as it dose
Hiding those secrets once again
Reminding us
That it is pointless to stand against the sands of time in the dunes of life.
For this is something that we must all face.
